The Serotonin
Club is an international association
for
biomedical scientists who are interested in any aspect of research on
serotonin
(5-hydroxytryptamine). It was founded in 1987 and currently
has
a membership of over 600 persons worldwide. Members receive a regular
newsletter with
information
on scientific meetings, news of members and any other matters of
interest
to those working on serotonin.
The Serotonin Club
sponsors a
satellite meeting to the
International
Congress of Pharmacology (IUPHAR) Congress every 4 years. The highlight
of these meetings are the two named lectures that are delivered by
researchers that the Serotonin Club wishes to honor for their
contribution to the field and the Club.
