Meeting Postponed to 2023

Dear Serotonin Researchers,

We are writing to let you all know that our upcoming biennial meeting “Serotonin on the Mexican Caribbean” scheduled for April 24-28, 2022 in Cancun Mexico, will be postponed to 2023, due to the ongoing pandemic and restrictions. Even though some participants are free to travel, many researchers are at institutions that restrict their travel still and we want to be as inclusive as possible. We are considering a week in mid/late April of 2023 for rescheduling.

Everyone who already registered may roll over their registration to the rescheduled meeting dates. Alternatively, refunds for registration fees are available without any deadlines [please note that if you request a refund you may receive the registration fee minus the PayPal fee, or for those who paid by wire transfer, minus bank fees]. Please contact Dr. Lyn Daws (daws@uthscsa.edu) if you have questions or wish to request a registration fee refund.

We also want to take the opportunity to announce our new leadership [Dr. Trevor Sharp (President), Dr. John Neumaier (VP-NA), Dr. Lyn Daws (Treasurer), Dr. Noelle Anastasio (Secretary)]. We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and hard work of Past-President Dr. Anne Andrews and Past Secretary/Treasurer Dr. Kelly Berg over the years.

On a final note, we are brainstorming the possibility of a virtual meeting in 2022 as it is now almost four years since we all got together to discuss science.

Additional information will be forthcoming.

Sincerely,

The ISSR Leadership and 2023 Meeting Organizing Committee.
